In Liminal States, Liron Kroll returns to places connected to her adolescence, where identity, desire and self-perception began to take shape.

Working across photography, photomontage and digital painting, she constructs settings that feel specific yet resist a fixed geography, shaped by memory and emotional association. These spaces carry traces of early experiences whose intensity preceded her ability to understand or articulate them. Approached from adulthood, this return becomes a process of integration: revisiting what was once overwhelming while reclaiming control over how it is seen and represented. The images offer intimacy without confession, holding vulnerability and self-possession in balance. Past and present, innocence and harm coexist, bringing what was felt then into contact with what is understood now. These relationships remain unresolved, allowing beauty and unease to occupy the same space. For Kroll, the work is also an expression of resilience: acknowledging the enduring presence of the past while affirming her choice to embrace life.

In Liminal States, Kroll introduces five new works, which will be shown alongside a selection from earlier series that engage with the exhibition's themes.
