Daniel Banin

Daniel Banin is a self-taught, London-based painter whose practice draws him to urban landscapes, particularly the overlooked corners of an ever-changing East London.

Driven by an interest in complex, industrial structures, Banin translates the raw texture of modern streets into oil on canvas. His work frequently features elements of graffiti and isolated figures, evoking the psychological weight of solitude within the contemporary city.

Paintings are conceived over many months; Banin relies on a dedicated archive of reference photographs and rigorous compositional planning before paint ever touches the canvas.

Banin’s paintings have been selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2024, 2025) and the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) Annual Exhibition (2025) at the Mall Galleries.

Banin’s work will be included in WITH EACH LOOK, Lower Slopes’ inaugural exhibition, in Islington, 23 October–1 November 2026. His work will also be on display in conversation with work by Ben Farleigh at the Highgate gallery in May 2027.
